The TES2 intercom unit does not have the noise-cancelling capabilities to be able to be mounted into surface-mount back boxes. This affects all TES2 units in 100, 200, and 400 series. We recommend that you use Viking intercoms for POTS applications in surface boxes.

PAN2 problems - Dealers have been having ''Phantom Ringing"
problems with the PAN2 (KX-T7775).  The problem seems to be
related to COLD WEATHER.  I have been told that Panasonic is
aware of the problem.  We are not now shipping any more PAN2
units until this is resolved. In the meantime, there several options for Panasonic KSUs:
Using Model 100 as an example:
MODEL 100 - Dealer supplies KX-T30865 - attaches it to Model 100.
MODEL 100-PAN - ''PAN'' board is compatible with Panasonic KSUs.
MODEL 100-VIK - Uses Viking door intercom. Use Viking ''PAN-1"
adaptor to make the Viking compatible with Panasonic.
One additional option (if you have used PAN2 and are satisfied with it)
would be to order 100-PAN2.  Holovision will assure you that the PAN2
is working when we ship it, but we will not warranty the PAN2.

We can offer you products from Viking (very good, but a bit more $$), Doorbell Fon (pretty good stuff), or the old TES.  TES was a work-horse for many years, but it has been retired.  We have hundreds of the TES units.  Because the problem with the TES was related to the small board (this is why we retired it), any TES units that are sent out will include 2 small boards.  In this way, if there is any problem, you will already have the replacement in stock.

If there are any problems with TES, we will only replace them with other TES parts!!  Any upgrades to other products will be at the dealers' cost.
